Piano Service Experience
I have over 35 years of experience tuning and repairing all major brands of pianos. I have tuned thousands of pianos. I hold the designation of Registered Piano Technician. This certification cannot be purchased. It can only be earned from the Piano Technicians Guild by passing rigorous examinations on the design, tuning, repair, and regulation of pianos. I regularly update my skills at seminars presented by the Piano Technicians Guild.

Formal Training
I also have a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Bradley University, and a Master of Arts degree from the University of Iowa. I feel that being an accomplished musician is a definite advantage in the piano tuning profession, because it enables the technician to have a very critical musical ear.
